Having to give yourself advice in third person because there is no one else to.

At some point I started defining an image as ‘finished’ when I could fill pretty much every area with detailed linework, it has almost become a compulsive act.
Needless to say, that despite having become faster and faster at drawing, they still take me ages to complete because of all the detail I’ve begun to cram in.

I think in a lot of ways I’ve been trying to make up for the years of slacking off I had before I turned 20.
I literally didn’t do shit.
So now I won’t let myself own a video game console or watch television.
I’m in a permanent state of guilt, and I don’t give a shit that everyone else can take it easy and go for drinks mid week, I can’t relate to those...
