What happened before social media? When you fell out of touch with someone did you ever see them again? Does social media just keep in stasis these lingering relationships that traditionally just tapered off? Similarly, what about the people you only talk to online but never see in real life? What were these types of relationships more than a decade ago, did they even exist?
I think once upon a time, we knew less people, and the people we knew, we knew a lot better.
