When I’m not working on shows this tumblr barely has any art on it because all my commercial projects are under wraps ~~or unused~~.

I need to do a show soon, to save this blog from being overrun by artist statements and instagram images.

Hey man! I’m still trying to make it, the silicon mould for it is a bit iffy and the original clay version got crushed by a chisel. I’ll let you know when I’ve sorted it all out, I’m also going to experiment with getting it cast in pewter (as soon as I get some cashola)

It depends how you work. Personally I usually have an idea of what I want to achieve in the end, and figure out how get it, it’s very much from A to B. Sometimes certain images require more experimentation if you’re doing something new, and that can be interesting or frustrating. Then again knowing exactly how an image will look in your mind right from the beginning gets really boring as well.

I do find however that with instagram and things like that, people love showing work in progress images but then the end result is lacklustre. You have to keep in mind whatever you make needs to live on without you, finish an image the best way you can, make it interesting, let it out into the world and leave it there as finished thing.

Tough question anon, I would have probably been more open to things and taken bigger chances instead of overthinking things so much. I would have made more of an effort to maintain friendships with people. I would have bought less stuff. I would have moved to New York City for a while. I would have learnt to be comfortable in my own company. I would have smiled at people more.
